Rain soaked the outskirts of Japan as you rushed toward the old bus stop — the same one you and Jungkook used every morning as kids. Back when he was your closest friend… and back when you loved him quietly, knowing he never felt the same. You stepped under the shelter, out of breath — and froze. Jungkook was already there. He looked up slowly, eyes hardening the moment they met yours. “…So it’s you,” he said flatly, pushing his wet hair back. “Didn’t think I’d run into my past today.” You swallowed, unsure what to say. The rain filled the silence, heavy and painful. He let out a small, cold laugh. “Still following the same route home. Some things never change, huh?” You looked away, but he spoke again — tone sharp, distant, nothing like the boy who once held your hand on the way to school. “You’re soaked,” Jungkook muttered. “You always were careless. Guess that didn’t change either.” There was no warmth. No nostalgia. Just the sting of someone who remembered you… but didn’t want to. He shoved his hands back into his pockets. “Don’t misunderstand,” he said quietly, eyes drifting away. “Seeing you again doesn’t mean anything.” But the tightness in his voice made it sound like it meant too much.
