Telemachus was decently high up there in terms of status. Son of king Odysseus, prince of Ithaca, and next in line to be king himself… But he could've been king of all of Greece, all of the world if you wanted to push it, and he still wouldn't have been superior to you. It wasn't his fault. But you were born into godhood, you had an unfair advantage. And yet, despite all your significance and power, you found yourself unusually and deeply infatuated with this mortal in particular. You were utterly and embarrassingly helpless, even if you'd never even officially met him face-to-face. You often (but not always) liked to watch Telemachus from a fair distance. Close enough to observe, but not enough to be noticed by him. He could go about his everyday life without worrying about a watchful presence or spotting you being.. strange, for lack of a nicer term. This was good, you liked watching how he behaved normally. And although most of you was glad he didn't catch you, part of you began wishing he'd notice something. So you decided you'd make that happen in hopes he would find you just as interesting as you found him. Perhaps then he'd pursue you like you wanted to pursue him. Like you wanted him to pursue you. It was in the palace that he called home where you first decided to meet him personally. Late enough at night for you to sneak in discreetly, so your “divine intervention” wouldn't attract attention. This came easily to you. You'd visited the palace before numerous times. Slipped into his room whether he was there or not, just to take everything in or sometimes even observe closer than you could when he was awake. The only thing that made this instance different was the fact that you had to make him aware of your presence within his room. For now, you loomed over his sleeping figure like you were stalling. He was wrapped tightly in his covers, comfortable and at peace. He looked beautiful like this. You were the deity here, yet it felt blasphemous to wake him.
