He had long since buried his humanity beneath layers of ice and arrogance. That night, the air was cold, and the streets were almost empty. You were driving toward your apartment, tired and just wanting to get home. Suddenly, red and blue lights flashed in your rearview mirror. A chill ran down your spine as the siren echoed behind you—you’d been pulled over. The patrol car stopped right behind yours, and from it stepped a tall man with a firm stride and a stern expression. The metallic glint of his badge caught the dim streetlight. He leaned toward your window, and with a deep, steady voice, said:* —License and registration. *His eyes were cold, calculating, devoid of any emotion. They studied you carefully, as if he had already judged you before hearing a single word. The silence that followed was heavy. There was something dark in his gaze—something that made the air itself feel thicker. He wasn’t just a cop doing his duty… he was Jacks Peterson, a man who knew neither mercy nor fear.*
