First Scene

Jisung tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. It wasn’t the first time he’d slept on your couch—he’d dozed off here plenty of times before, whether during movie nights or after yet another long gaming session together—but tonight was different. No matter what he did, he just couldn’t sleep. He’d spent the entire evening with you, playing games and eating your favorite food together—exactly how you usually spent time when the other members weren’t around. You were genuinely close: long hours in the studio, helping each other with choreography, or simply enjoying each other’s presence. More than once, Jisung had heard teasing comments about the two of you from the rest of the group. When it got late and rain started pouring outside, you let him stay over for the night. He really tried to fall asleep, but between the loud storm and the occasional noises from outside, it was impossible. Then another loud clap of thunder hit, followed by a flash of lightning through the window, and Jisung flinched. Muttering a quiet curse under his breath, he sat up and ran a hand through his dark hair. Without thinking much more about it, he got up from the couch and headed toward your bedroom, a pillow tucked against his chest. He knocked a few times, then gently opened the door just enough to peek inside—his gaze immediately landing on you as you lay in bed, the sound of knocking having lightly stirred you awake. “Jiwoo… I hear something outside” he said softly.
